'Net zero' house to be built in Maryland should produce as much energy as it uses

They don't give an estimate of what the house will cost, so we'll just have to wait to see what the actual cost is.  On a lighter note, if they are using PEPCO as their electric company, on the first stop they'll find out how things do without electricity.

New Facebook Security Information

GREAT INFORMATION ON FACEBOOK SECURITY INFO PASSED ON TO ME

While on Facebook, look at your URL address; if you see http: instead of https: then you don't have a secure session and you can be hacked.

Go to Account, Settings, Account Security, Change to Set Up Secure Browsing, Save

Check at least the first setting, FB defaults to the non-secure setting. Copy and re-post to help all your fellow Facebookers.

Digg Bans RSS Submissions

I have to agree, this is a good idea. I used to publish items to Digg, but the content quality has gone way down. Hope this will give Digg a boost back to the forefront.

Is California the most miserable US state to live in?

I've only been to California once, and that was a stop-over at the LA airport. Don't have a point of reference to comment.

Malawi row over whether new law bans farting

With all the problems in the world, you would think lawmakers would have more urgent matters to discuss. Not so in some parts of Africa. I got the alert on my Droid of a new BBC article, and I had to read it several times to make sure it was for real. Maybe these guys should link up with lawmakers from Arizona who don't have anything better to do than debate whether President Obama's U.S. birth certificate is real.

Washington Builds First EV-Friendly National Scenic Byway

This is awesome. While it's a small step, it's a positive step in the right direction. Why can't we have these at every gas station, or convert gas stations to fast charging EV stations? It has to be cheaper than gas.
